Students at Newquay Tretherras, continue to receive strong A Level results having completed successful exams earlier this year.
This morning, excited students opened their exam results to discover the future that awaits them, surrounded by proud families, teachers and friends. The college is pleased to announce a year of excellent results for students, with many successfully gaining places on their desired degree courses and apprenticeships.
Newquay Tretherras is celebrating a fantastic set of A level results with 60% being A* - B grades and over 25% at A* - A. Vocational results are exceptional once again and place NT in the top 10% of schools nationally with an average grade of Distinction+.
There is so much to celebrate and shows that NT6 students more than hold their own nationally - their future is bright!
With fantastic results throughout the college, there have also been some standout individual performances including:
· Owen P, securing three A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics, and will study Mathematics at the University of Bath.
· Annie W, achieving three A*s in Biology, Physical Education and Geography and will study Sports Management at Loughborough University.
· Rhiannon W, achieving three A*s in English Language, Politics and EPQ, and an A in Religious Studies. Rhiannon will study at the University of Manchester.
· Jackson L, securing two A*s in Mathematics and Further Mathematics, and an A in Physics, and will study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath.
· Janna V who achieved four As in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and EPQ, and will study Dentistry at the University of Cardiff.
· Sophie T, Reuben J and Edan H, all achieving D*D*D* in Applied Science.
There were also nine students who achieved D*D*D* in Sports Performance and Fitness Instructing.

“All our teachers, support staff and governors, and our CELT leaders, are rightly proud of the incredible results this cohort of students has achieved after the seven years we have been lucky enough to have them in our care.”
